Ellie Ruddock

Ellie Ruddock is a Lecturer Practitioner at the Cambridge Institute for Music Therapy Research (Anglia Ruskin University), affiliated with the Cambridge School of Creative Industries. Specializing in neurorehabilitation and music therapy, she combines clinical practice with academic supervision and consultancy.

• Education: BA (Hons) Music (University of Chichester), MA Music Therapy (Roehampton University), Neurologic Music Therapy certification (The Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy).

Her research focuses on neurologic music therapy, stroke recovery, and arts-based interventions for health and wellbeing. Recent publications examine clinical audits of music therapy in stroke units and its integration with immersive technologies for dementia care. She has presented at conferences like the British Association for Music Therapy and UK Stroke Forum.

Ellie supervises postgraduate music therapy students and teaches modules including Clinical Placements, Practical and Clinical Skills, and Multi-Disciplinary Theoretical Studies. She is a registered supervisor with Health and Care Professions Council and a member of the British Association for Music Therapy. Her career spans private practice, NHS roles, and organizational management in music therapy services.
