Ellen Stewart is a Professor of Public Policy and Health at the University of Glasgow, affiliated with the School of Health & Wellbeing. Previously, she held roles at the University of Strathclyde, University of Edinburgh, and University of St Andrews. She serves as Editor of the journal Sociology of Health & Illness and advises the Wellcome Trust's Early Career Awards. Her research focuses on health systems, public engagement in healthcare, and NHS governance, with a particular interest in charity dynamics and social determinants of health.
