Dr. Ellen Steinmiller is an Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Chair of the Chemistry Department at the University of Dallas. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from Purdue University (2009) and completed postdoctoral research at Indiana University. Her research focuses on designing metal oxide materials for photocatalysis, with expertise in electrochemical synthesis and nanomaterials. She teaches courses including Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and a unique interdisciplinary lab course on the 'Scientific Investigations of the Color Blue.' Dr. Steinmiller advises the UD SMACS chapter and the UD Journal of Science, and has received accolades such as Phi Beta Kappa and awards for student-led research presentations.
