Dr. Ellen Reitz is an Assistant Professor at Utrecht University's Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Department of Clinical Child and Family Studies. A developmental psychologist with a PhD from the University of Amsterdam (2004), her work focuses on adolescent psychosocial and sexual development, parent-child/peer relationships, and intervention strategies to improve youth well-being.

She co-led Project STARS (Trajectories of Adolescent Relationships and Sexuality) and contributed to studies on sexual health interventions in secondary education. Her awards include competitive fellowships for health education programs (2015) and a 2023 UU Incentive Grant for cyberspace-related research. She teaches courses in Pedagogical Sciences and Clinical Child Studies and holds leadership roles in editorial boards, faculty councils, and examination committees.
