Ellen Bertke

Ellen Bertke serves as an adjunct instructor in the Nursing Department at Baldwin Wallace University, specializing in obstetrics and medical-surgical nursing clinical instruction. Her extensive clinical background spans emergency department, labor and delivery, postpartum, and perioperative settings across roles including staff nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, nursing supervisor, and nurse manager.

Her academic credentials include a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Master of Science in Health Administration (MSHA), and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of St. Francis, plus a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration (BSPA) from St. Joseph’s College of Maine. She also holds a graduate certificate in nursing education from the University of St. Francis.

Ms. Bertke maintains dual specialty certifications in emergency nursing and medical-surgical nursing while instructing BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses. Her professional contributions include sepsis management presentations at Cleveland State University and critical thinking instruction for RN refresher programs.
