Ella Gold

Ella Gold is a Los Angeles-based art director, graphic designer, and educator currently serving as a Lecturer in Graphic Design at Otis College of Art and Design. Her work emphasizes research-driven, collaborative approaches to visual communication, focusing on typographic systems, publication design, and print-based projects within arts and culture.

Gold’s portfolio includes notable works such as the album cover for Weyes Blood’s A Certain Kind of Everybody (2017), the Built by Women Los Angeles poster (2020), and exhibition materials for institutions like Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) Gallery at UC Irvine. She holds an MFA in Graphic Design from California Institute of the Arts and a BA in Studio Art + Art History from Reed College.

Her practice bridges design and storytelling, often collaborating with artists, writers, and institutions to create innovative visual solutions. Gold’s work has been published by Mexican Summer, Inventory Press, Atelier Éditions, and other independent presses.
