Elke Gramespacher

Prof. Dr. Elke Gramespacher is a Professor and Head of the Chair of Physical Activity Promotion and Sports Didactics in Childhood at the University of Teacher Education Northwestern Switzerland. She is affiliated with the Institute for Kindergarten/Lower School (Grades 1-3) and associated with the Institute for Primary School (Grades 1-6). Her position involves leadership in academic research and curriculum development for childhood education.

Gramespacher's research examines critical transitions in early education systems, particularly the kindergarten-to-first-grade shift. She leads the longitudinal BeKiPri study investigating cooperation challenges between early childhood educators and elementary teachers. Her expertise encompasses physical activity pedagogy, sports didactics for young learners, and institutional collaboration frameworks in education systems.
