Elizabeth Rhoads is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies, Lund University, under The Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology. She is also a member of the LU Profile Area on Human Rights, reflecting her deep engagement with human rights issues in Southeast Asia. Her work is interdisciplinary, bridging law, anthropology, geography, and urban studies.

Her work often explores how legal frameworks produce statelessness, displacement, and spatial violence, especially in Myanmar. Elizabeth Rhoads is actively involved in advising and research grants.
