Elizabeth Idowu

Elizabeth Idowu is a Lecturer in Business at the Teesside University International Business School (TUIBS), specializing in Leadership, Management & Human Resources. She teaches across apprenticeship pathways and focuses on Human Resources, Innovation, and Sustainability. Her current Doctorate in Business Administration research examines SME engagement with the Sustainable Development Goals in the North East of England. She holds an MSc in Conflict Prevention & Peacebuilding (Durham University, 2018) and a LLB (Hons) from Northumbria University (1997).

Her research interests span SME dynamics, sustainable development, generative AI in education, and conflict resolution. Recent work includes a conference poster on AI's role in teaching and learning. With 15+ years in third-sector housing and experience as a Biotech Business Development Manager, she bridges academic and practical business challenges.

Elizabeth actively contributes to non-executive roles, including Vice Chair of School Governors and Trustee positions in charities supporting asylum seekers and refugees. She also chairs a regional swimming club.
