About
Elizabeth Hadly is the Paul S. and Billie Achilles Professor of Environmental Biology Emerita at Stanford University, where she founded the Hadly Lab to investigate biodiversity responses to anthropogenic change. Her research integrates paleontological, ecological, and genomic approaches to understand ecosystem transformations across deep and contemporary timescales.
Her work examines extinction dynamics, climate change impacts on species distributions, and conservation strategies for rapidly changing environments.
Research Mission:
Understanding, describing, and predicting biodiversity responses to change in the Anthropocene through interdisciplinary approaches spanning ecology, evolution, and Earth systems science.
