Elizabeth Domangue

Dr. Elizabeth Domangue is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Leadership, Research, and Foundations at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs' College of Education. She holds a Ph.D. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in pedagogy and self-determination theory from Louisiana State University, complemented by a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. With 22 years of diverse experience in education, she has served as Superintendent, Principal, curriculum director, and teacher across K-12 and university settings.

Her research integrates motivation theories and systems-thinking for leadership development, focusing on:

• Principals' autonomy beliefs and effectiveness
• Sustainable turnaround strategies for underperforming schools
• Social-emotional learning pathways

Recent publications explore educational leadership in high-poverty settings, service-learning methodologies, and gender dynamics in physical education. Her work consistently examines motivational frameworks and equity issues across educational contexts.

Awards include the 2023 Distinguished Alum Award. She currently teaches leadership courses including Data-Driven Program Evaluation, Practicum in School Leadership, and American Educational Foundations.
