Elizabeth Cordero

Elizabeth Cordero is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at San Diego State University (SDSU), located at the Imperial Valley campus. Her work focuses on psychological well-being across diverse populations, with particular emphasis on cultural, familial, and socioeconomic factors influencing mental health.

Research Interests: Dr. Cordero's expertise includes eating disorders, body image issues, resilience promotion in college students, quality-of-life concerns among cancer patients/survivors, and mental health disparities affecting Latino communities, women, and individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Her research bridges clinical psychology with sociocultural considerations to address systemic inequities.
