Elizabeth Christoforetti is an Assistant Professor in Practice of Architecture at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design (GSD), affiliated with the Department of Architecture and the Laboratory for Design Technologies. Her work bridges design practice, technology, and societal challenges, focusing on scalable systems, socio-technical processes, and human-machine collaboration.
Her teaching emphasizes critical engagement with contemporary issues like artificial intelligence and market-driven urbanism. Courses include Elements of the Urban Stack (Fall 2025) and Products of Practice (Spring 2025). She directs Supernormal, a Cambridge-based design studio addressing environmental change through architecture, urbanism, and technology.
Her research explores cultural implications of large data sets, design agency in complex systems, and the role of technology in shaping urban environments.
