Elizabeth Caldwell

Elizabeth E. Caldwell is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of New Hampshire's College of Liberal Arts. Her research examines neurobiological mechanisms of aggression, social stress, and alcohol effects using rodent models, with particular focus on serotonin systems. She teaches Research Methods in Psychology, Psychobiology, Drugs & Behavior, Health Psychology, and advanced neuroscience courses.

Education includes a PhD in Biological Psychology from Kent State University where she conducted NIH/NIAAA-funded research on stress-alcohol interactions. Postdoctoral training at Tufts University investigated alcohol-heightened aggression mechanisms. Research has been supported by multiple NIAAA fellowships and Ithaca College faculty grants.

Major publications explore pharmacological modulation of aggression, stress-alcohol interactions, and behavioral methodology. Awards include the Michael Bunsey Memorial Award and multiple research fellowships.
