Elizabeth A. Stanley is a Professor of Security Studies at Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and the Department of Government. A U.S. Army veteran, she developed Mindfulness-based Mind Fitness Training (MMFT) and specializes in resilience, trauma recovery, and decision-making in high-stress environments like military and peacekeeping contexts.
Her research integrates political psychology, neuroscience, and international security. Awards include the Edgar S. Furniss Award (2009) for her book Paths to Peace.
