Elise Castillo is Assistant Professor of Educational Studies at Trinity College. Her research examines school choice policies through critical policy analysis frameworks, focusing on racial integration equity and Asian American educational experiences. Current projects investigate school choice impacts in Connecticut and New York City, and community responses to educational inequity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Research specialties include: charter school governance; community engagement in education reform; and critical race analysis of education policy implementation.
Recognition includes a National Academy of Education/Spencer Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship (2023-2024).
