Elise Bant is Professor of Private Law and Commercial Regulation at the University of Western Australia Law School, where she serves as Director of the Private and Commercial Law Research Cluster. She holds additional appointments as Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne and Consultant to HFW Australia.
Education includes bachelor degrees in Arts and Law (Hons) from UWA, Bachelor of Civil Laws (Distinction) and DPhil from University of Oxford as a Clarendon Scholar.
Bant's research examines unjust enrichment, contract law, consumer protection, corporate liability, and equitable remedies. Her work focuses on developing coherent frameworks for misleading conduct regulations and corporate accountability mechanisms.
Publications demonstrate consistent focus on restitution law evolution, corporate misconduct regulation, and consumer protection frameworks, with recent work emphasizing organizational culture's role in legal compliance.
