Elisabetta Cova is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Ancient & Modern Languages, Literatures, & Cultures (AMLLC) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). She also serves as Classics Coordinator under the Foreign Languages & Literature program. Her roles include teaching and leading academic initiatives within the College of Letters & Science.
Dr. Cova holds an MPhil in Archaeology from the University of Cambridge (UK) and a Laurea in Classics from the Università di Bologna (Italy). Her teaching focuses on Greek and Latin languages, Roman civilization, and courses on Pompeii. She has designed specialized courses such as 'Introduction to Roman Life and Literature' and 'The Graeco-Roman World: Pompeii.'
Her research interests span Roman Archaeology, Roman domestic architecture, the archaeology of Pompeii and Herculaneum, Roman Cyprus, and Museum studies. She actively engages in scholarly work related to classical antiquity, integrating material culture and textual analysis.
