Elisabeth Rathmayr

Dr. Elisabeth Rathmayr is a researcher at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) specializing in archaeological contexts of inscriptions and sculptural decoration in residential buildings across the eastern Mediterranean. Her work focuses on housing research, religious practices in domestic spaces, and analysis of small finds like graffiti and dipinti. She serves as Project Lead for multiple excavations in Ephesos, including the study of prestigious residential units and sculptural elements.
