Elisa Williams

Elisa Williams is a Lecturer at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (Edith Cowan University). She specializes in theatre education, decolonizing practices, and cross-cultural performance collaborations.

Her research focuses on decolonising theatre education, embodied performer training, and practice-led methodologies. She co-founded Boss Arts Creative, a First Nations-led organization, and has directed numerous cross-cultural productions like Bikutsi 3000 and Mummung Warangkiny.

Selected recent publications highlight her work integrating Indigenous perspectives into drama pedagogy. She serves as an Associate Supervisor for PhD candidates exploring developmental drama-based pedagogies.
