Elisa Sicuri is an economist specializing in health economics in low- and middle-income countries, with a focus on infectious diseases such as neglected tropical diseases and vector-borne diseases. She holds multiple academic positions, including Visiting Senior Fellow at LSE Health (London School of Economics), tenured Associate Research Professor at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), and Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona. Additionally, she serves as an Associated Researcher at the Manhiça Health Research Centre (CISM) in Mozambique and leads the Global Health Economics Group at ISGlobal.
Her research expertise spans Global Health, Impact evaluation, Economic Evaluation, and Infectious diseases. She focuses on applying economic analysis to inform public health policies, particularly in low-resource settings. Her work addresses challenges such as disease elimination strategies, cost-effectiveness of diagnostics and treatments, and the economic implications of global health interventions.
