About
Elisa Bianchi is Associate Professor of Applied Cell Biology at Unimore's Centre for Regenerative Medicine. Her research deciphers molecular mechanisms in hematopoiesis, with emphasis on myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), stem cell differentiation, and oxidative stress pathways.
She has identified key roles for miRNAs, TGF-β signaling, and osteopontin in bone marrow fibrosis. Recent work explores chromosomal abnormalities in JAK2-mutant MPNs and regenerative applications for liver disease.
Dr. Bianchi teaches cellular biology and laboratory techniques for biotechnology students. She coordinates research on genomic instability in hematologic malignancies.
