Elin Good

Elin Good is a researcher affiliated with the Department of Health, Medicine and Caring Sciences at Linköping University, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Her primary research focus is atherosclerosis, combining clinical work at the Cardiology Clinic in Linköping with interdisciplinary cardiovascular research. She is part of the Cardiovascular Imaging and Modeling (CIM) research cluster, which develops advanced imaging techniques such as MRI for plaque assessment and hemodynamic analysis. Elin collaborates on major studies like SCAPIS (Swedish CArdioPulmonary bioImage Study) and the LSH study (Life conditions, Stress and Health), investigating socio-economic and psychosocial factors influencing cardiovascular outcomes.

Her research interests include cardiovascular imaging technologies (MRI, CT), biomarker development, and translational applications of imaging in clinical settings. She has contributed to studies on plaque vulnerability mechanisms, pandemic impacts on lifestyle behaviors, and diagnostic software innovations for myocardial perfusion imaging. Elin holds a 2015 Young Investigator Award from EuroPrevent Congress, recognizing her early career contributions.

She participates in the Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV), a hub for cutting-edge imaging research. Her work emphasizes bridging clinical needs with technological advancements, including photon-counting CT and deep learning algorithms for improved diagnostic accuracy.
