Elif Şen

Elif Şen is a Research Assistant at the Department of Interior Architecture, Istanbul Technical University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Interior Architecture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, with a focus on spatial psychology and universal design. Her academic work bridges interdisciplinary research in aging spaces, sustainable development, and accessibility.

Research Interests: Elif's research explores the intersection of spatial psychology, universal design, and aging populations. She investigates how interior environments can support healthy aging through principles aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and alternative aging spaces such as elderly support centers and day care facilities.

Publications: She has contributed to studies on universal design for aging populations, including analyses of daytime aging spaces (2024) and literature reviews on alternative aging spaces (2023). These works emphasize sustainable, inclusive, and behaviorally responsive architectural solutions.
