Elif Sevim

Prof. Dr. Elif Sevim is a full-time academic at Ahi Evran University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Biology, Turkey. Previously, she held academic positions at Ahi Evran University (Molecular Biology and Genetics, 2019-2021), Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University (Biology Department, 2010-2012), and Istanbul Technical University (2007-2008). She holds a PhD (2010) and MSc (2005) in Biology from Karadeniz Technical University, and a BSc (2002) in Biology.

• Research Interests: Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bacteriology, Molecular Genetics.
• Key Projects: 36+ research projects since 2004, including studies on antimicrobial resistance, bacterial diversity in leeches, honeybee pathogens, and environmental microbiology.

Scientific Awards: 3 major awards, including TÜBA’s Translation Work Award (2015), TÜBİTAK’s Graduate Study Abroad Scholarship (2009), and Karadeniz Technical University’s Erasmus Student Scholarship (2007).
