Elham Izadi

Elham Izadi is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), with a distinguished career in Algebraic Geometry and Hodge Theory. She previously held faculty positions at the University of Georgia (Athens) since 1995 and served as the Benjamin Pierce Assistant Professor at Harvard University from 1991 to 1995.

• Education: Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Utah (1991) and a follow-up degree from University of Paris XI (1993)

Her research spans Moduli Spaces, Abelian Varieties, Algebraic Curves, Vector Bundles, and Classical Geometry. Recent work focuses on Theta Divisors, Cohomology Decomposition, and Hodge Structures in higher-dimensional Algebraic Geometry. She has contributed to the UCSD Algebraic Geometry Seminar and organized major conferences like the 2024 Higher Dimensional Algebraic Geometry Symposium.
