About
Elham Heidari is an Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida's Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. She holds a PhD from University of Texas at Austin (2021) and an MS from Tokyo Institute of Technology (2014).
Research develops photonic solutions for information technology challenges, focusing on ultrafast optics, optical frequency combs, quantum optics, mid-infrared photonics, and laser spectroscopy. Innovations include optical-electronic neural networks for signal demultiplexing, reconfigurable optical convolution systems, and tunable laser technologies using novel resonant structures.
Recent work presented at SPIE Photonics West includes OAM-coded signal processing using hybrid optical-electronic systems. Laboratory employs micro-nanofabrication, computational modeling, and laser systems to validate photonic concepts.
