Eleonor Marcussen is a Senior Lecturer in History at Linnaeus University's Department of Cultural Sciences, affiliated with the Linnaeus University Centre for Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies (LNUCC). She holds a PhD in South Asian History from Heidelberg University and has held roles including Assistant Professor at North South University (Bangladesh) and postdoctoral fellowships at Linnaeus University and the Max Weber Centre (Germany). Her research focuses on colonial and postcolonial studies, environmental history, and disaster governance, with a particular emphasis on India's colonial past and its socio-ecological impacts.
