Elena Rizova

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elena Rizova is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Pedagogy, Faculty of Philosophy, University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. Her expertise spans adult education, lifelong learning, educational policy, and inclusive education. She holds a PhD in Pedagogical Sciences (2012) and has extensive experience in national and regional education policy creation, analysis, and implementation. She leads the Lifelong Learning Centre at her faculty and chairs the Council for Adult Education of North Macedonia (2013–2017).

Her academic journey includes teaching courses such as Andragogy of Labor, Validation of Non-Formal Learning, and Literacy and Primary Education of Adults. She has authored over 20 publications since 2011, focusing on Roma minority education challenges, disability inclusion, and EU-funded projects like the Regional Andragogy Academy. Her work emphasizes literacy programs, policy reforms, and innovative teaching tools like augmented reality in higher education.
