Elena Caoduro is a Lecturer at the School of Arts, English and Languages, Queen's University Belfast. Her research focuses on terrorism studies, mediated memory, nostalgia, and the intersection of fashion with media industries. She co-edited Mediated Terrorism (2021) and Documenting Fashion (2023), exploring topics ranging from revolutionary terrorism representation to eco-documentaries in fashion.
Teaching includes modules on Hollywood Cinema, Gender and Media, and Media and Memory at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She supervises PhD projects in mediated memory, terrorism representation, and gender-popular culture relationships.
Her work intersects with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly addressing cultural preservation and ethical representation. Recent activities include peer reviewing, editorial work, and presentations on fashion documentaries and retro technology nostalgia.
