Eleftheria Hatzimichael

Eleftheria Hatzimichael, MD, PhD is a Visiting Scientist at the Computational Medicine Center at Thomas Jefferson University and Consultant Haematologist at the University Hospital of Ioannina, Greece. She leads clinical and translational research in Haematology, with expertise in epigenetics and computational approaches to non-coding genome analysis.

Her research investigates non-coding RNAs in disease states and differential transcription patterns in tumors. Hatzimichael earned her early-career fellowship from the Hellenic Society of Haematology Foundation to study non-coding human genomes through computational and experimental methods.

She serves as co-investigator in over 10 clinical trials and contributes to editorial boards including the American Journal of Blood Research.
