Dr. Eleanor Moseman serves as Professor of Art History at Colorado State University's College of Liberal Arts, Department of Art and Art History. She joined CSU in 2006 and specializes in modern European art, particularly Central European avant-garde movements and German-speaking artists. Her work has been supported by Fulbright and DAAD fellowships.

Research Interests: Dr. Moseman focuses on Czech Cubist artist Bohumil Kubišta, German Expressionist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Surrealists Richard Oelze and Ellida Schargo von Alten. She is currently working on a book about von Alten's abstract pastels and a series of essays on Kubišta's art theory. Her research integrates fieldwork from archaeological sites in Turkey and the Middle East, along with extensive international study and travel.
Exhibitions & Grants: She curates exhibitions at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art, including traveling shows on Oelze and von Alten. Recent grants include support from CSU's College of Liberal Arts. She teaches global art history courses, including a summer 2019 Japan study abroad program.
Teaching & Engagement: Coordinates foundational art history courses and teaches seminars on Women in Art History, Global Encounters, and Expressionism. Led Semester at Sea courses in 2017 across 8 countries. Engages in community activities like volunteering in Waldorf schools and singing with Larimer Chorale.
