About
Eleanor Gill is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics (DPAG) at the University of Oxford. She holds a PhD in Cardiovascular Biology from Queen's University Belfast, an MRes in Cardiovascular Health and Disease, and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Manchester.
Her research focuses on cardiovascular biology, particularly the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiac remodeling and hypertrophy. Current work investigates the role of sodium bicarbonate transporters in pH regulation and cardiac hypertrophy using in vivo and in vitro models. Past projects include studying circadian rhythms in bradyarrhythmia and the role of endothelial NADPH oxidases in diabetic cardiac remodeling.
She possesses expertise in echocardiography, histology, cell culture, molecular biology, and RNA sequencing. Her research spans metabolic diseases, cellular physiology, and genetic factors influencing cardiovascular health.
