Professor Eleanor Frajka-Williams heads Experimental Oceanography at Universität Hamburg, investigating ocean dynamics using observational data from gliders, moorings, and satellites. Her research focuses on Atlantic circulation patterns and climate impacts.
Research Focus: Atlantic meridional overturning circulation (AMOC), Labrador Sea convection processes, and climate-relevant ocean transport.
Leadership: Principal investigator for TERIFIC (ERC) and EPOC projects, using autonomous vehicles for ocean monitoring.
