Eldon Triggs

Eldon Triggs is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Auburn University. His research explores additive manufacturing techniques, recycled polymer applications, and launch vehicle design, with practical applications in aerospace systems and amateur rocketry.

Dr. Triggs holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Tuskegee University, and both M.S. and B.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University.

His work focuses on developing sustainable materials for aerospace applications, including recycling polymers for space resource utilization and creating impact-resistant polymer networks. Recent projects investigate biocomposite filaments for 3D printing and combustion characterization in propulsion systems.

Dr. Triggs contributes to community initiatives, including organizing PPE donations during the COVID-19 pandemic through 3D-printed face shields. His teaching emphasizes practical applications of aerospace engineering principles.
