Elba Paula Casal Ribas

Elba Paula Casal Ribas is an ICREA Research Professor at the Department of Law, Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). Previously, she held academic positions including Lecturer and Reader at the University of Reading (2004–2008), Lecturer at Keele University (1996–2004), and multiple prestigious fellowships: Fellow in Ethics at Harvard University (1999–2000), Keele Junior Research Fellow (2000–2001), Hoover Fellow at Université de Louvain (2001–2002), and Leverhulme Fellow at Oxford University (2002–2004). Her research focuses on political philosophy, ethics, and public policy, with publications in journals such as Ethics, Journal of Political Philosophy, and Political Studies. She serves as Associate Editor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics, and leads advocacy organizations including the Great Ape Project-Spain and Academics Stand Against Poverty-Spain.
