Eilin Rafael Pérez serves as Visiting Assistant Professor of History at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, within the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences. Previously, he held a Postdoctoral Associate position in History and Public Humanities at Yale University. His academic journey includes a PhD in History from the University of Chicago and a BA in Asian Studies and History (with honors) from Williams College.

Research Focus: Specializing in modern Korea, Eilin analyzes diplomacy and decolonization during the Cold War. His current book project investigates cultural production at the intersection of North Korea and global South solidarity movements, challenging traditional Area Studies frameworks by highlighting transnational anti-imperialist networks and information dissemination systems.
Awards & Funding: His work has received support from prestigious programs including the CLIR/Mellon Fellowship, Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships, and the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship.
