Egil Rønningstad

Egil Rønningstad is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo, affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Research Group for Language Technology. His PhD project focuses on Entity-Level Sentiment Analysis for Norwegian Text, leveraging advancements in computational linguistics and language technology.

His research interests center on sentiment analysis, natural language processing, and Norwegian language models. He has contributed to key projects like NorBench (Norwegian language models benchmark) and NARC (Norwegian anaphora resolution corpus), emphasizing corpus development and low-resource NLP challenges.

Recent work includes cross-domain sentiment classification of patient feedback, entity-level sentiment compositionality, and GPT-based annotation frameworks. His publications span conferences like NoDaLiDa and COLING, with a focus on advancing methods for Norwegian text analysis.
