Edward Simpson is a Senior Fellow in the Department of Nuclear Physics & Accelerator Applications at the Research School of Physics, Australian National University. He completed his PhD in nuclear theory at the University of Surrey in 2009 and has held research positions at the University of Surrey, University of York, and ANU.
Research Interests: His work spans nuclear collisions with applications in:

- Radiation effects in space environments
- Proton/hadron beam cancer therapy
