Edward Ranzenbach, DMSc, PA-C, CAQ-CVTS, is the Director of Clinical Education and Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at Emory & Henry University's School of Health Sciences. He holds a Doctorate in Medical Sciences from Lynchburg University and a Master's in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. With over 27 years as a Physician Assistant, he has extensive experience in cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, and surgical education.
His research focuses on cardiovascular surgery, aortic dissection management, and surgical education. He has authored numerous articles and serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of the Association of PAs in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (JAPACVS). Professional accolades include Fellow of APACVS and Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of PAs.
Ranzenbach has practiced in nine countries, retired as Chief PA at UC Davis School of Medicine, and currently works in transplant surgery.
