Edward R. Waller

Edward R. Waller serves as Interim Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost while concurrently holding the position of Dean of the College of Business at University of Houston-Clear Lake. A Professor of Finance since 1993, he acts as the chief academic and budget officer for the College of Business and oversees the Center for Executive Education (CEE) with locations in Clear Lake and the Texas Medical Center.

His educational credentials include:

• Ph.D. in Business Administration from Arizona State University
• Master of Science in Economics from Georgia Institute of Technology
• Bachelor of Science in Economics from Georgia Institute of Technology

Waller's research expertise focuses on commercial bank management, financial markets, and corporate finance, with significant contributions to financial institution management, corporate financial theory and practice, and international finance. His scholarly work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in financial markets and institutions.

As Dean, Waller leads the College of Business's AACSB accreditation process, having successfully overseen two extensions of accreditation for both business and separate accounting programs. He manages faculty recruitment, performance evaluations, and the strategic operations of the Center for Executive Education, positioning the college for academic excellence and industry relevance.
