Edward R. Kleemans is a Full Professor at the Department of Criminology, Faculty of Law, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in Serious and Organized Crime and Criminal Justice. He previously served as Head of the Crime, Law Enforcement and Sanctions Research Division (CRS) at the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice (until 2013). His research focuses on organized crime, cybercrime, drug trafficking, human smuggling, and the interaction between offenders and the criminal justice system.
