Dr. Edward Kwon is a Professor at the Department of Political Science, Criminal Justice and Organizational Leadership within the College of Arts and Sciences at Northern Kentucky University (NKU). He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
His research focuses on:
- Financial liberalization and global governance in the international financial system
- International security, with particular emphasis on East Asian security
- International relations of East Asia and nuclear non-proliferation
Dr. Kwon has published over 20 articles in journals including Journal of Contemporary Asia, International Relations of the Asia-Pacific, East Asia: An International Quarterly, and Journal of Peace Research. He serves on editorial boards and as a reviewer for international relations and area studies journals.
He teaches courses in comparative politics, East Asian politics, international relations, foreign policy, international political economy, and research methods. Additionally, he advises the Model United Nations Club and participates in national/regional Model UN conferences.
