Edward Kao

Edward Kao is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Houston. His research interests focus on computational finance and stochastic processes. He has authored textbooks including An Introduction to Probability: with MATHEMATICA(R) (2022) and An Introduction to Stochastic Processes (2019).

Dr. Kao has supervised numerous graduate students, with recent doctoral graduates including Kyle Meerscheidt (2018), Benjamin Preston (2015), Muhu Wang (2010), Weiwei Xie (2008), and Cedric Kouam (2008). His research contributions span stochastic modeling in reliability engineering and computational finance methods for derivative pricing.
