Edward Garnero is a Professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University (ASU). His research focuses on planetary interiors using seismology, particularly studying structures in the deep mantle and core-mantle boundary (CMB). He investigates ultra-low velocity zones (ULVZs), mantle plumes, and the dynamics of Earth's lowermost mantle. Garnero holds a Ph.D. in Geophysics from Caltech (1994) and an A.B. from UC Berkeley (1986).
