Edward Carter

Edward Carter is an Associate Professor and Director of Programmes for Social Work at Middlesex University's Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education. With practice experience in self-advocacy and mental health services, he teaches law for practice, adult social care, and disability support.

His research examines social work interventions for people with learning disabilities and dual diagnoses, emphasizing service user involvement and self-advocacy frameworks. Current work explores inclusive practices in disability support systems and ethical considerations in social care policy.
