Edvard Smith

Edvard Smith is a Senior Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Karolinska Institutet. He is part of the Division of Biomolecular and Cellular Medicine (BCM) and has held his current position since 2018. His research focuses on cellular signaling, protein phosphorylation in lymphocytes, and synthetic oligonucleotide therapies for genetic disorders like X-linked agammaglobulinemia and neurodegenerative diseases. He holds a Docent title from Karolinska Institutet (1979).
