Dr Edmund Thomas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Classics and Ancient History at Durham University, with affiliations as an Associate Fellow in the Institute of Advanced Study and Departmental Representative in the Institute of Medieval and Early Modern Studies. His research focuses on Roman architecture, its societal role, and its reception in medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods.
