Edith Wiens serves as Visiting Professor of Vocal Studies at the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London, contributing her extensive expertise to the Vocal & Opera department. She maintains a global teaching presence, currently working with young artists at major opera institutions including Munich Opera, Dutch National Opera Amsterdam, Opera Frankfurt, Opera Hannover, Opera Düsseldorf, Essen, and Warsaw Opera Academy.
Dr. Wiens brings to her teaching an illustrious performance career as a soprano who performed with the world's leading orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, Cleveland Symphony, and New York Philharmonic. She collaborated with renowned conductors such as Seiji Ozawa, Nicolaus Harnoncourt, Bernard Haitink, Sir Georg Solti, and Andrew Davis, and performed major Mozart roles at prestigious venues including the Glyndebourne Festival. An avid recitalist, she performed at Wigmore Hall London, Vienna Musikverein, Carnegie Hall, Salle Gaveau in Paris, and the Pushkin Museum in Moscow.
Her teaching legacy is evident in the remarkable success of her students, who are engaged by major opera houses worldwide and have won numerous prestigious international competitions including Operalia, the Glyndebourne Cup, and the Metropolitan Opera National Council Awards.

Professor Wiens is the founder and director of the Internationale Meistersinger Akademie for emerging artists. She previously served as Chair of the Voice Faculty at The Juilliard School in New York for twelve years. Her leadership extends to the Vocal Residency of the Festival of Aix-en-Provence, which she led for several seasons, and she has maintained a long-standing relationship with the Lindemann Program of the Metropolitan Opera New York.
