Edith SALÈS-WUILLEMIN is a Full Professor and Director of the Psy-DREPI laboratory (EA-7458) at the University of Burgundy, France, where she also serves as Vice-President for Quality and Working Life. She holds dual academic positions, also serving as Full Professor at Paris 8 University in the Laboratoire Parisien de Psychologie Sociale (LAPPS). Her academic career spans over a decade at both institutions, where she manages the Master 2 professional program 'psychologist in working organizations: management of human relations and communications.'
Dr. SALÈS-WUILLEMIN's research focuses on social psychology, particularly examining attitude and social representation phenomena with emphasis on intergroup relations (stereotypes and discrimination) and social perceptions related to health and care situations. Her work specifically investigates patients' and healthcare workers' perceptions regarding illness, therapeutic treatments, hygiene care, social relations between patients and healthcare workers, stress, and quality of working life. Current research projects include linguistic intergroup bias, stress and cardiovascular diseases, and patient-healthcare worker relations.
Her most recent publications demonstrate a consistent focus on gender representation in leadership, quality of working life, social representations in healthcare contexts, and the psychological impact of organizational change, particularly during the pandemic. The research employs diverse methodologies including qualitative analysis, social representation theory, and mixed-methods approaches to explore complex social phenomena.
As Director of the Psy-DREPI laboratory, she leads a research team investigating socio-psychological and sports management topics, with particular attention to the intersection of language, communication, and social representation in various professional contexts.
